Artist Bios : Madhavan Nampoothiri is an acclaimed name in the field of carnatic music for more than two decades. He is a senior disciple of Padmabhushan Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri. T.V.Sankaranarayanan (TVS). He is also gained professional training under Sri. P.R.Kumarakerala Varma and Sri. Kalanjoor Chandrasekharan two legends in the field of carnatic music in their ages. There were more than 500 solo performances in his credit, many of them accompanied by music maestros such as Padmabhushan Sangeethakalanidhi Sri Umayalpuram Sivaraman, Dr. T.K Murthi, Sri Srimushnam Rajarao etc… Apart from his many performances before major audiences in India, he performed in many stages in different parts of the world like, Paris, South East Asia and Gulf Countries. Professional Status: Music Lecturer in R L V College of Music & Fine Arts, Thripunithura, a Govt: of Kerala Institution. B- High Grade Vocalist of All India Radio. Ramesh started to study percussion at a very early age under the able guidance of his father Shri K.P. Bhaskar Das and master teacher Shri. Puthukode S. Krishnan. His mother, Mrs.Kalamandalam Chandrika, a noted Bharathanatyam (Indian classical) dancer and teacher helped him train as an accompanist for dance. His passion for music and search for excellence led him to his guru, Shri Karaikudi R.Mani. Ramesh Babu became a dynamic performer and won many prizes in the "All India Radio" music competitions. And He is A’ grade Artist from All India Radio, His versatility earned him a scholarship from the Cultural Department of India. Ramesh has emerged as a successful freelance artist who has accompanied some of India's finest musicians and dancers on the media and stage. He has had the pleasure of accompanying dance luminaries such as the Dhananjayans, Krishnaveni Laxman, Chandrasekhars, Narasimhacharis, Leela Samson, Madhavi Mudgal, Alarmel Valli and several upcoming artists. Ramesh has accompanied music virtuosos such as B.V.Raman and Laxmanan, Vairamangalam Laxminarayanan, Sriram Parasuram and Anuradha Sriram, Palai C.K.Ramachandran, O.S.Arun, and T.V. Ramprasad . He has worked as a dance accompanist with the Dananjayan's at "Bharatha Kalanjali" in Chennai for the past 16 years. Ramesh has travelled throughout Asia, Europe, Australia, and the United States assisting several dance companies world over by providing rhythmical support, scores and compositions. For the past several years, Ramesh has worked closely with dance companies such as Kalanjali dances of India, California; Apsara Arts, Singapore; Bharatha Kalajali, Australia. He has played at important occasions such as Khajuraho Dance festival, Konark Dance Festival, India International Center, Swaralaya Festival, Surya Festival, and Indian Art Circle, Kuwait; and the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival. Apart from being a percussion virtuoso, with proficiency over several types of percussion instruments, Ramesh has many music compositions to his credit. His skill, versatality, and sophistication have earned him high praise from art critics and audiences world over. S.P.Ananathapadmanabha hails from a family of musicians. He started learning Carnatic vocal music from his parents Smt C.K.Shanthakumari and Sri C.R.Poorvachar. Along with vocal he started learing violin from Hosalli Sri H.K.Venkatram and Mysore Sri R.Dayakar. In Chennai he continued learning violin from legendary violinists Kalaimamani Kum A.Kanyakumari and Sangeetha Seva niratha Coimbatore Sri B.Dakshinamoorthy and also from Delhi Sri P. SunderRajan. He also learnt Carnatic vocal from Sri P.S.Narayanaswamy and Rudrapatnam Sri R.N.Thyagarajan. He has accompanied all leading musicians including sri P.S.Narayanaswamy, Bombay Sisters Smt C.Saroja and Smt C.Lalitha, Sri T.V.Sankaranayanan, Dr. N.Ramani, Sri O.S.Thyagarajan, Sri T.V.Gopalakrishnan, Rudraptnam Brothers Sri R.N.Thyagarajan and Sri R.N.Taranathan, Mambalam sisters Smt Vijayalakshmi and Smt Chitra, Ranjini and Smt Gayathri, Smt Suguna Purushothaman, S.Sowmya, S.Shankar, M.S.Sheela, Sikkil Gurucharan, Gayathri Girish, K.Gayathri, Nisha Rajagopal, Amritha Murali, Bharath Sunder, Prasanna Venkataraman and many others. He has performed in the United States and Other European countries. He is currently teaching many students in Chennai and around the world. He have performed in all leading sabhas of Chennai and all over in India.
